Joint Research License
This license can be applied to the scientific research study conducted by more than one researcher and/or research institution. For the purpose of interpretation of the "End User" under the Article 1 a) of ALOS End User License Agreement, those researchers and/or research institutions are deemed to be one user.
Conditions;
- The purchaser shall inform RESTEC that the purchased data be used for a joint research study and provide all the names and addresses of researchers and/or research institutions involved.
- The purchaser shall submit a copy of document evidencing the research study.
- All the researchers and research institutions involved have to be the residents of area where RESTEC has sales right of ALOS data (*).
(*) As of May 27, 2010, RESTEC territory covers Asia (excl. Thailand), Russia, Oceania and Americas (excl. Canada). - In case that the involved researchers and research institutions reside more than one node area, applicable price for the joint research license is the one applied to the node where the researcher or research institution placing purchase order belongs.
- The use of purchased data is strictly limited within the scope of the joint research project.
RESTEC's Online Data Service System (CROSS)
CROSS is the internet data service system to enable the users to do catalogue search and to place their order through it. It provides earth-observing satellites' data provided by RESTEC, JAXA / EOC and other domestic institution, as well as EROS data center and overseas institutions.

ALOS Systematic Observation Strategy
The ALOS mission features a systematic observation strategy which comprises pre-launch, systematic global observation plans for all three sensors. The strategy is implemented as a top level foreground mission and with a priority level second to that of emergency observations.
